MIC Green Energy Solutions under ESCO model

Introduction:
The electrical energy consumption on lighting accounts for 19% of the total electricity usage throughout the world. A 40% saving which is possible because of LED Lighting saves 106 Billion Euros in electricity costs/year (@Euro 10 cts/KWh), avoids 555 million tons of CO2 emissions per year, usage of more than 1.5 billion barrels oil/year equivalent output of more than 530 power plants @ 2TWh/yr.

The main principle behind energy saving companies is

“ENERGY SAVED IS ENERGY PRODUCED”.

MIC Green Energy Solutions:
Leveraging on the vast experience gained through the LED Display Systems, MIC forayed into the development of LED Lighting Systems, which are of relevance to both rural and urban environments. MIC is poised to launch large scale production and commercialisation of its energy efficient and eco-friendly

LED Lighting Systems:
Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs), a type of Solid State Lighting (SSL) devices with proven performance in various kinds of displays for four decades now offer the electric lighting market a new and revolutionary light source that saves energy and improves quality, performance and service.

Energy Saving Concept:
In a typical city like Hyderabad where almost 1,50,000 conventional HID lamps exist and where as the corporation is spending Rs.50crores on power bills and another Rs.50crores on maintenance and contingencies, if replaced by LED Lights, the total power consumption not only goes down by half but with no or minimal maintenance costs, lasting for 12-15 years. The upfront cost of replacing the existing lights can be recovered with in 5 years.

Conversion of the city lighting into Green Energy Lighting not only avoids light pollution but also attracts carbon credits, another form of revenue @50 piece per unit on the energy saved.
