Product Description
MOADM-20S

The MOADM-20S is a modular and cost-effective equipment designed to manage bandwidth and derive services from the optical core to access. The products are designed to support end-to-end provisioning and management of services across all segments of the optical network. It combines innovative optical networking software with the intelligence of SONET/SDH to deliver a flexible, cost-effective network solution.

MIC's MOADM-20S is SDH Multiplexing Equipment based on an STM-1/STM-4 capable System that provides flexibility to the customers in terms of expansion to support additional client interfaces by adding new modules in the field. It is also a scalable system that enables the customer to start with an STM-1 network and upgrade to STM-4 as the traffic demand increases.

The MOADM-20S system provides full flexibility to the users to Drop/Insert several data types namely E1/E3/E4/STM1e/STM1o/Ethernet. MOADM-20S can be configured as Terminal Multiplexer (TMUX) or Add Drop Multiplexer (ADM) with mix-and-match tributary interfaces of E1, E3, DS3 or Ethernet (10/100 Mbps). The product has built-in non-blocking cross-connect at VC4, VC3 and VC12 granularity for efficient traffic grooming. In view of the growing demand for packet services, MOADM-20S provides rate controlled 10/100 base-T/1000 Base T interfaces to carry inter-office traffic from corporate LANs, Campus Networks or Internet Service Providers.

Salient Features::

MOADM-20C

MOADM-20C, MIC's Compact Optical Add Drop Multiplexer on STM-1 is a practical Bandwidth provisioning equipment designed to meet low or medium capacity bandwidth requirements. The product also supports end-to-end provisioning and management of voice and data services across all the segments of the optical network, from the customer premises to the optical core. It combines innovative optical networking software with the intelligence of SDH to deliver a flexible solution to today's service providers.

The MOADM-20C can be configured as Terminal Multiplexers (TMUX) or Add-Drop Multiplexers (ADM). This compact model supports 21 E1s and 4 Ethernet ports (10/100 Mbps). The point-to- point 4 Ethernet ports can be configured where each flow can take Nx2Mbps bandwidth.

Several MIC Network elements can be managed from a central location using SNMP and CORBA based NMS. In view of the growing demand for packet services, MOADM-20C provides rate controlled 10/100 Base-T interfaces to carry inter-office traffic from corporate LANs, campus networks or from Internet Service Providers.

Salient Features::

  • Transports E1s (G.703) and Ethernet 4 ports (10/100Mbps) through Optical Fiber Ring using SDH STM-1 transport.
  • The point-to-point 4-Ethernet flows can be configured where each flow can take Nx2Mb bandwidth.
  • Linear and ring topologies.
  • Integrated multi service delivery.
  • Low Priced Terminal - Add Drop Multiplexer.
  • Advanced Networking Software with support for open standards such as OSPF.
